Shane Ohmer is a celebrated Cincinnati-based dancer, educator, and choreographer. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Dance at both the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and Northern Kentucky University. Mr. Ohmer specializes in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Acrobatics, and Musical Theatre. He is a certified expert in 4Pointe, a method dedicated to training dancers en pointe. In the summer of 2024, Shane was the Resident Director for the internationally acclaimed Rock the Ballet tour in Germany, where he led performances that garnered standing ovations from over 19,000 attendees.

With a diverse and illustrious career, Shane spent several years as the Associate Dance Captain for the Broadway Tour of The Phantom of the Opera, where he played an integral role in developing a comprehensive manual for teaching and preserving the production’s choreography. He has also been a visiting lecturer at prestigious institutions such as Point Park University, Memphis University, University of Arizona, and Wayne State University, and has adjudicated nationally recognized competitions like Encore Dance Competition for the Stars and Starbound National Talent. Shane has been a panelist for the Overture Awards Scholarship Program, the Corbett Mayerson Award Competition, and the Bridge Dance Conference at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

As a performer, Shane has danced as a featured artist in Susan Stroman’s The Merry Widow at the Metropolitan Opera which was broadcast live to 72 countries, and spent three years traveling across the globe as the principal dancer in Rock the Ballet. His extensive performance credits include the first national tour of Flashdance - the Musical, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Whim W’him Seattle Contemporary Dance, River North Dance Chicago, and numerous guest artist appearances worldwide. Shane has been honored to perform at Lincoln Center, The Joyce Theater, and 92nd Street Y in New York City. Shane has been featured on global news segments in France, Greece, Germany, Spain, Monaco, and was interviewed by the BBC as the headliner during a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

In addition to his stage work, Shane has made several commercial appearances on Law & Order (SVU), The David Letterman Show, and in advertisements for Warby Parker and Dos Equis, as well as runway shows and appearances for Commonwealth Utilities, Armani Exchange, and GQ Magazine. His choreography has been featured in New York Fashion Week for designers such as The Blonds, L'Officiel Hommes video, NKU's Dance '24 "Motion Picture", De La Dance Company "Synaptic Snowfall", and in numerous competitive dance pieces, stage plays, and musical revues.
